I ran into this video about the importance of credibility in the life of a leader. I have not given this topic any thought before, so it is an intriguing topic for me. The fact is that we measure credibility everyday. We read the books and blogs we read because that author has credibility. We believe one side of the story more than the other because one person has more credibility.
We follow certain leaders over others because they are more credible.
In this video, Kouzes and Posner (authors of some great leadership books) talk about their newest research on credibility, stating that most followers are asking for 4 things from their leaders:
- Honesty
- Forward Looking
- Competent
- Inspiring
Question: How have you built credibility in your ministry?
