REAL Ministry is all about developing church leaders to serve the kingdom of God. We each have a different definition of what it means to be successful in church ministry. Ultimately, we are all called to serve God through our ministry. REAL Ministry is about helping churches develop into the ministry and organizations we are called by God to be.
REAL Ministry represents the four areas that are essential to the development of successful churches. These four areas require intentional training and development on a daily basis so that they can become essential habits in our lives.
- Relationships: All ministry is founded on the ability to work with and serve people. That can only be done by being intentional about developing relationships with staff, volunteers, and parishioners.
- Equipping: We cannot do it all ourselves. Equipping other leaders, both volunteers and staff, is required so that we can multiply our efforts and work.
- Attitude: Would you rather work with people who have a positive attitude or a negative one? Positive, of course. As simple as this sounds, we must choose every day to have an attitude of personal growth and empowerment.
- Leadership: As John C. Maxwell often states, “Everything rises and falls on leadership.” Therefore, we must grow our leadership potential to have the impact we are hoping for in our organizations.

About John
John M. Rinaldo is the founder of REAL Ministry and is dedicated to leadership and organizational development in church ministry settings. Rinaldo’s passion for impacting leaders and influencing influencers in ministry has come from his experience as a parish, diocesan, and national leader, working with many churches and ministry organizations in helping them grow to their maximum potential to impact the lives of faithful Christians. Rinaldo has spoken at the National Federation for Catholic Youth Ministry’s National Conference for Catholic Youth Ministry and many regional faith formation and religious education conferences.
